Grape Varieties: Negroamaro 80%; Malvasia Nera 20%.
Colour: dense ruby-red.
Aromas: Elegant, intense aromas of blackberries and plums. In the mouth it is pleasant and rounded with a well-balanced acidity. Smooth yet firm tannins. On both nose and palate it is a very good, vinous and ethereal wine.
Pairing recommendations: best drunk with red meats, with not too spicy fish soups, with mixed boiled meats and cooked salamis, and with fermented, hard cheeses.
Vinification: traditional temperature-controlled fermentation of must in large wooden vats for 30-45 days.
